AirBridge
Tap Share. It lands.
Your Mac shows up in your phone's share sheet, and your phone shows up in your Mac's share menu. Files and copied text go straight across your Wi-Fi, encrypted end to end. They never touch a server.
AirDrop for a Mac and an Android phone.
Every direction
Phone to Mac, Mac to phone, phone to phone. Pair as many Macs and phones as you have.
Encrypted end to end
Every transfer uses the Noise protocol with keys that never leave your devices. No accounts.
Wakes the other side
Sending to a sleeping Mac wakes it first. Sending to a phone with the app closed wakes the app.
Copied text, on purpose
Press C on the Mac or share text on the phone. Nothing syncs on its own, password-manager copies stay put, and the Mac keeps a history in Clips.
No accept button
Your own devices are trusted. Files land in Downloads AirBridge, or a folder you pick, with a quick notification.
Sees who's around
On your phone, each device shows whether it's online, asleep, or off this Wi-Fi, before you send.
How it works
Both devices need to be on the same Wi-Fi. Sending from outside your home network isn't supported yet.
- 01Pair onceScan the QR code your Mac shows. Both screens show the same 4-digit code; tap Matches.
- 02Share from any appPick AirBridge in the share sheet, then tap a device, or tick several.
- 03It's thereThe file goes straight across your Wi-Fi and lands in Downloads AirBridge. Tap the notification to open it.
Install
On your Mac
- Download AirBridge.dmg, open it and drag AirBridge into Applications.
- Open AirBridge. macOS blocks it the first time because it isn't notarised by Apple. Click Done, then in System Settings Privacy & Security scroll down and click Open Anyway. You only do this once: updates arrive inside the app and never ask again.
- A welcome window walks you through pairing your first phone. AirBridge then lives in the menu bar: drop files on its icon, or open it to send text.
On your phone
- Download the APK on your phone and open it. Allow installs from your browser when Android asks.
What AirBridge can access
- Local network
- To reach your other devices on the same Wi-Fi.
- Camera (phone)
- Only to scan the pairing QR code.
- Notifications
- Shows progress and tells you when something arrives.
- Updates (Mac)
- A daily check at dl.seqavo.com for a new version. Nothing about you or your files is sent.
- Google push
- Used only to wake a phone whose app is closed. It carries no file data and no file names.
- Analytics
- None. No tracking, no crash reporting.
